| Abstract | Intramuscular vitamin A injections of 1,000,000 or 2,000,000 I.U. in Hereford and Santa Gertrudis range cows did not significantly affect the weaning weights of calves in two experiments at the Jornada Experimental Range. Santa Gertrudis calves weighed significantly (P<.01) more than Hereford calves, 122 pounds more in 1966 and 90 pounds more in 1967. Sex of calf differences were significant only in 1966. |
