Abstract	Vibracorders were used to periodically monitor periods of activity and inactivity on Hereford and Hereford-Santa Gertrudis crossbred cows grazing mesquite dune rangeland pastures 3,500 ha in size. Discussion of the data includes the correlation of periods of activity and inactivity with sunrise and sunset times. Implications of the data's use in designing grazing strategies and in conducting behavior research will be addressed.
