AbstractPerognathus penicillatus and Perognathus intermedius were studied in several areas in Dona Ana County, New Mexico, form 1970-1972, producing comparative population data from areas of sympatry and allopatry. The effects of variations in physical environment on these two species and physiological and behavioral differences between them were studied to examine niche differences.
