AbstractEcotypic variation in seed and seedling characteristics of New Mexico galleta grass were studied at the New Mexico Agricultural Experiment Station ranch at Las Cruces, New Mexico. Live clonal material of galleta grass was collected from Fort Stanton, Bernardo, Quemdo, Naschitti, Cuba, Los Lunas and Tucumcari, New Mexico. The material was collected in the fall of 1966 and held in the greenhouse until the spring of 1967. It was then transplanted to study plots located on the ranch.
