Abstract | Pastures 2N and 2S of the Jornada Experimental Range were used to investigate behavior (travel and time budgets), nutritional status and body weight change of cattle. Pasture 2N served as a control while pasture 2S was aerially sprayed with 2,4,5-Trichlorophenoxy acetic acid at the rate of 227 g/hectare. This treatment allowed stocking rate to be increased in pasture 2S from 1.8 to 3.4 times more than that in pasture 2N. |
